Media rumour starters are dying to know who Man City boss Roberto Mancini meant when he said he was targeting a ‘Ni’Inty Points’ in the new year. Enthusiasts have already checked that he doesn’t play for Real Madrid or Arsenal and have now targeted football databases around the world so that somebody can get a picture of him looking really tired at an airport.
Italian Mancini started the ball rolling when he told press ‘to win the league we must get Ni’Inty Points. It is really important for us.’ Many fans are already having ‘Ni’inty’ printed on the back of their shirts and head of City fan club Shaun Goater said it was a very exciting time for the club.
He claimed ‘usually we just go down to Arsenal and leave them a big bag of money but Mancini is really playing a curve ball with this one. I’m sure he must have played for Arsenal at some point, we just need to identify when. Either way, even though I’ve never heard of him I’m sure he must be worth more than James Milner.’
